What is ErgCentral?
ErgCentral is a team-oriented solution designed for rowing coaches to efficiently manage and analyze their team’s training on Concept 2 ergometers.
How does ErgCentral benefit coaches?
ErgCentral simplifies workout scheduling, allows real-time monitoring, and provides insightful analytics which help in understanding the team’s performance and individual athlete progress.
How does the app interface with Concept 2 ergometers?
ErgCentral Mobile App connects to the Concept2 PM5 monitor via Bluetooth, allowing for seamless transmission of workout details and gathering of workout data.
How are workouts scheduled and shared with athletes?
Coaches schedule workouts on ErgCentral, which are then instantly shared with all team members through the ErgCentral Mobile App.
What kind of data analytics does ErgCentral provide?
ErgCentral offers Advanced Analytics giving insights into overall workout performance, including stroke-by-stroke data analysis which is sent to a central repository for coaches to review. This includes heart rate, stroke length, average power, peak %, and even nuanced metrics like power to weight ratio.
Coach’s application
Athlete joined the team but does not see workouts?
When athlete joins the team all workouts that have “start time” in the future will automatically be assigned to athlete. Athlete will not be able to see workouts that have start time prior to joining the team
Athlete created an account but is not part of the team?
When athletes are invited to join the team, they will have to use the link in the email to join. On the other hand if athlete is creating and account without the link, athlete will have to use email address that you sent them invite to. Using different email address will not match athlete with your team.
Can I add coach as an athlete and vice-versa?
No, you can only have one role per account on your team. If you are a coach you cannot be an athlete and vice-versa.
I can see results for an athlete, but drive lenght and some other metrics show zeros?
When athlete manually uploaded results metrics like drive length, peak force, heart rate and similar will be 0. In addition to this manual upload will be indicated for those intervals.
I cannot see all subscriptions listed on a website?
Subscriptions are based on number of athletes on the team. Selection for team subscription is based on current number of athletes on your team.
I cannot invite user to the team?
If you reach the limit of athletes based on your subscription you will not be able to add additional athletes until you remove athletes or until you choose higher level of subscription.
Do coaching staff count toward subscription limit?
Subscription limit is based on amount of athletes on your team, coaches do not count toward the team limit.
I cannot delete or edit workout?
There are two scenarios when workout cannot be edited or deleted:
- If workout is template based, it cannot be modified or deleted
- If workout is quick workout, it cannot be modified or deleted if at least one athlete completed a minimum of one interval for the given workout
Can I edit the template?
No, templates are not editable. You can delete existing and create new one, but it is not possible to delete templates because they are associated with workouts.
Why can't I track detailed data on lifting/cardio sessions?
At this moment we have provided ability for coaches to create a “single” calendar for athletes to see workout schedule. Cardio workouts if done on an Erg device (bike, row, ski) can be tracked, but have to be created as Erg workout. If you would like to track in details cardio/lifting please get in touch with us so we can better understand your needs and figure out a way to provide you with this ability
I don't see all of my athletes in stroke-by-stroke graph?
Stroke by stroke data will only show athletes who completed workout using mobile app. If athlete manually uploaded results, stroke by stroke data will not be visible
Can weekly summary or workout result view be midified?
Yes, view can be adjusted to your needs, you can filter athletes by tag, sort by metrics available or change metrics to what you want to see.
Why I cannot select more than six metrics to view?
Number of visible metrics is limited to six at any given time so they can fit any screen properly. You can always uncheck other metrics and check new ones. If you need to see more than six metrics at the time, please reach out to us so we can better understand this requirement.
Can I download the data to excel/csv?
No, this feature is not available. If you need a different view of based on the data, please reach out to us so we can better understand your need and potentially build it into our application.
Does this application integrate with Strava, Concept2 LogBook or similar?
No, at this moment application is not integrated with any 3rd party services.
Can I overlay multiple metrics on stroke-by-stroke data screen?
No, at this moment we are evaluating ways to provide this ability on stroke-by-stroke data screen. Please reach out to us with ideas we would love to hear more how to accomplish this and present this to coaches in the best possible way.
